Sumner Capital is a UK specialised private equity fund investing in the global defence market. It is a ‘ten-year plus two’ closed-ended fund that seeks to fill the gap at the lower to mid-market level in the defence, security and aerospace sectors.
The growth strategy is to develop the platform across multiple channels and sequentially raise funds in multiple phases.
What We Do
Our specialised Fund provides access to a diversified global portfolio of high-quality companies seeking to generate attractive returns and achieve capital growth in a responsible manner over a 10-year period.
The Fund invests in established mid-market companies in the global defence market with proven business models and clear potential for accelerated growth through acquiring minority equity stakes, buy-out as the majority equity shareholder, early stage/venture investments where technology is deemed exceptional, and in the provision of short-term private credit.
